Only US federal, state, local and tribal governments and their partners have access to this dedicated instance, operated by screened US citizens. It avails compliance by offering network, data, and virtual machines that are isolated from all standard Microsoft Azure cloud regions. Azure Government services handle data that is subject to certain government regulations and requirements, such as SOC 2, FEDRAMP, CJIS, FIPS 140-3, ITAR, IRS 1075, and ISO 27001.
All access to ERIN7 is protected by Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 preferred, TLS 1.2 minimum) providing both server authentication and data encryption using 256-bit certificates. This ensures your data is safe, secure, and available only to registered users in your organization with the proper permissions.
Three Ways to Deploy ERIN7
Every agency runs on different rules. Some want a cloud service that just works. Some need a dedicated environment. Some cannot connect to the internet at all. ERIN7 runs the same proven evidence management application in all three, so your infrastructure requirements never force a compromise on capability.
Hosted Cloud (SaaS)
ERIN7 hosted in Microsoft Azure Government, a physically separate cloud operated in the continental US by screened US persons, with a FedRAMP High platform baseline. We handle updates, monitoring, backups and disaster recovery across two Azure Government regions. You manage evidence, not servers.
Private Cloud Option
A dedicated, single-tenant environment for agencies whose procurement requires it, including deployment in AWS GovCloud (US). Same application, same security controls, documented in a deployment-specific security addendum for your compliance team.
Isolated / On-Premises
ERIN7 installed on infrastructure you provide, operate and control, including fully network-isolated environments with no outside connectivity. No vendor access to your data exists, by design. Updates are packaged by us and applied by your IT staff on your schedule.
What stays the same in every model: role-based access control with granular permissions, an append-only audit trail protected by cryptographic hash-chaining that no one, not even an administrator, can alter through the application, and encryption aligned to CJIS Security Policy requirements (TLS 1.3 preferred, TLS 1.2 minimum).
